Sometimes if you find yourself getting stuck its not what you are doing that’s the problem. Sometimes in order to get unstuck the best thing to do is to NOT do something.
Here’s why – most of the time, the things we do are habitual, we really don’t think much about them and how we do them. When we add in new things that we want to make into habitual behaviours like eating healthier or exercising more we try to put these new habits in on top of the old ones. Well that’s a bit like planting seeds without digging up the weeds first. Most of the time the established weeds will just smother the new plants!
So before you plant the new behaviours, take a look at the old ones and figure out which of them are contributing to you not getting the results you want. Sometimes getting those fantastic results is simply a matter of what you decide not to do!
